FORMAT DETAILS:
Team Event (27th & 28th Dec, 09) : Two Children per team from the same school.
Scrabble – 4 Games per day.
Unjumble – 16 Tests per day.
Public Speaking – one and half a minute per player or three minutes per team.
Speltz – No Points. Separate prize
Individual Events (29th & 30th Dec, 09) : Players will be divided into two Grades.
Grade I – upto and including 6th std
Grade II – 7th std to 10th std
Scrabble - 4 games per day
Unjumble - 8 Tests per day
Public Speaking – one and half a minute per player
Creative Writing - topic will be announced at the venue.
Scrabble – Duration of each game 50 minutes
Pairing – first round – random. Second round onwards Swiss pairing
Points – Scrabble – win – 3, loss – 0, tie – 1.5
Unjumble Tests – per test – 2
Public Speaking – 5
Creative Writing – 5
Speltz – no points but separate prize for each Grade.
Final Rankings for each Team and Grade will be awarded, aggregating points in Scrabble and other tests in the descending order.
Bingo service: Players can ask for the service. They will be intimated of the Bingo after the game. For every natural (without the use of the Blank) Bingo, there will be a toffee. Two toffees for 8 letter natural Bingo.
